Incubation Guidance
Welcome to our hatching guide! We've found that following this key guidance leads to success. We’ve refined our methods and are excited to share this valuable information with those planning to incubate their own eggs. Let’s make your hatching journey successful!

On Arrival – Resting the Eggs
-
Carefully unpack the eggs as soon as they arrive.
-
Check for obvious damage. Hairline cracks can affect hatch success.
-
Place eggs pointed end down in an egg carton or tray.
-
Allow eggs to rest for 12–24 hours at room temperature (around 18–20°C).
-
This helps the air cell settle after transit.
-
Do not refrigerate.
-
Incubation Settings
-
Temperature: 37.5°C
-
Humidity (Days 1–18): 45–50%
-
Turning: At least 3 times per day (or automatic turning)
Stop turning on Day 18.
Lockdown Period (Days 19–21)
-
Increase humidity to 65–70%
-
Lightly spray the eggs with water to assist in softening the shells
-
Do not open the incubator unless absolutely necessary
-
Chicks may hatch anytime between Day 20–22
After Hatching
-
Leave chicks in the incubator until fully dry and fluffy
-
Move to a prepared brooder with:
-
Heat source (around 32–35°C initially)
-
Chick crumb and fresh water
-
Final Notes
-
Not all fertile eggs will hatch, even under ideal conditions
-
We recommend incubating eggs as soon as possible after the resting period
-
By setting these eggs, you acknowledge and accept the risks involved in incubation
If you have any questions prior to incubation, please feel free to get in touch.
We wish you the very best of luck with your hatch.
